New decaffeination systems

In recent years Demus, together with its subsidiary DemusLab, has developed new systems of decaffeination including the water decaffeination with the aid of special activated carbon filters and therefore without the use, even indirectly, of extraction solvents. At the moment, production is taking place on a pilot scale and the validation tests are underway on the product obtained, both in organoleptic terms and in the control of the roasting. The high quality reached during the phase of plant optimisation means this process is suitable for high quality coffee.
